With just a few steps, centre directors can log in, select their centre, choose dates and times, specify the number of educators required and the qualifications needed. Our system instantly matches available educators nearby, allowing you to review profiles before offering the shift or send the offer to all suitable educators in the network.

Once the shift is accepted, both you and Earlyhood receive confirmation. The educator then clocks in and out through the app, and after your centre verifies the shift, the system automatically generates the invoice. It is fast, efficient and designed to remove the stress from casual bookings.

How it works

Using our Booking Portal

  1. Log in to the booking portal
    Access your account to submit a request. Choose the dates, times and qualification level needed for your centre.

  2. Match with available educators
    The system finds nearby educators who meet your requirements. You can review profiles and qualifications or send the offer to all eligible educators.

  3. Confirm your booking
    Once an educator accepts, you will receive confirmation by email with all shift details.

  4. Manage the shift
    The educator clocks in and out using the app, and your centre verifies the hours once the shift is complete. The system then generates the invoice automatically.

  5. Ongoing support
    Your account manager can help you manage recurring needs, preferred educators and last-minute changes.

How quickly can Earlyhood fill a casual shift?

In most cases, we can fill same-day requests within hours. Our booking portal instantly matches available educators nearby, and our team monitors requests to ensure fast responses for both planned and last-minute shifts.

Do all educators have valid qualifications?

Yes. Every educator we place has a verified Working With Children Check, relevant qualifications, and up-to-date first aid and CPR certifications. We only work with educators who meet the strict requirements of the early childhood sector.

Can I request the same educator again?

Absolutely. If you have a preferred educator who has worked well with your team, your account manager can help you request them for future shifts whenever they are available.

What if an educator cancels or is unavailable?

If an educator cannot attend a shift, our team will immediately find a replacement to ensure your centre remains covered. We always aim to minimise disruption and maintain consistency for your children and families.

Can I book multiple educators at once?

Yes. The booking portal allows you to request more than one educator in the same submission. You can select the number of educators needed, their qualification levels and the dates or times required.

How do invoicing and payments work?

Once the shift has been completed and verified by your centre, the system automatically generates an invoice for your records. Payments can then be processed directly in line with your existing Earlyhood account arrangements.
